Stone variation exists always! Variation is the best feature of natural stone. Color, veining, fissures, shading, size, etcetera are all variations of what you will see in natural stone. Stone variation occurs from tile to tile, slab to slab and quarry to quarry. The most important thing when considering natural stone products for yourself and your clients is that natural stone is not made in the same run, dye lot or made in the same place on earth. Uniformity is not its intention. Educating yourself and your customer in stone variation before you purchase and or sell natural stone products will make your purchasing experience pleasurable. Requesting a sample will give you a general idea of the stone color however, variation and movement of the stone will not be represented in one sample.
